I am a Youth Policy enthusiast and a Social Entrepreneur with several years in mid-management Operations, Finance and Administrative assignments, 5 years in-depth experience in retail banking and over 7 years vast experience in Youth Policy and political works in Ghana. I currently work as the Project Administrator and Finance Officer for GIZ Green Innovation Centre project. Given my responsibility to lead and provide financial oversight and administrative support towards the successful implementation the Project with Ghana Ministry of Food and Agriculture as project partner. I also manage a team of four in a busy, medium-sized offices in four Regional project offices with primarily responsible for coordinating all office functions.
I have also previously served as the Regional Operations/Administrative Officer for GN Bank Ghana Ltd, where my responsibility was to lead and direct the Operations and administrative of all 18 Branches of GN Bank and ensure the smooth flow of the Regional operational and administrative processes and procedures in the Upper East Region. I have been involved in Youth Policy advocacy and politics at different levels since 2010. My involvement has been driven by my desire to ensure justice, equity, integrity in public service, and civic responsibility.
In 2012, I collaborated with some likeminded Ghanaian youth to founded the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) in Ghana as a credible alternative to the duopoly in the country. I was previously the Youth Coordinator and treasurer for the party. During the 2016 elections, I coordinated the campaign of the presidential candidate (Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom) of the Party in Upper East Region and gave him the highest percentage of vote in the entire nation.
In addition to youth and politic works, I have over 8 years combined experience in project management, youth and Women entrepreneurship development, Financial inclusions, business development and establishment of strategic partnerships with both local and international organizations.
I am the founding executive director of Hope Faith Foundation, a youth community-development-based organisation that is responsible for ensuring that young people are educated, empowered and engaged for local development in Ghana.
I have co-authored with institutions and individuals to draft the 2012 Ghana Youth Manifesto and 2016 “People’s National Youth Policy”, which is a comprehensive compilation of youth policy options and proposals to place youth issues and perspectives at the heart of Ghana’s development agenda.
In August 2019, my digital project that seek to promote citizen participation in good governance and corruption fight was part of the top 10 finalists of the FNF Africa Freedom Innovation Challenge
My paramount enthusiasm for youth development has undoubtedly been consistent and evident in my engagements and experiences with youth development, governance and leadership as I have volunteered, served, lead and have acquired requisite skills from renowned organizations, initiatives and institutions like Enactus Ghana, Action Aid, EU-CoE Youth Partnership, YEFL Ghana, AHK Ghana, GIZ, Young African Leaders Initiative West Africa, YES Ghana and IFLRY.Enactus Ghana, Action Aid, EU-CoE Youth Partnership, YEFL Ghana, AHK Ghana, GIZ, Young African Leaders Initiative West Africa, YES Ghana and IFLRY.
In 2018, I was the Ministry of Trade and Industry representative on the Interview Panel for the recruitment of NABCO trainees for the Enterprise Ghana Model in Bolgatanga.
In March 2016, I was a youth mentor at the Bolga Barcamp Summit and has since mentored over 7 youth and entrepreneurs in Ghana In 2015, I was the only Ghanaian among 8 young Africans selected by UK Liberal Democrats (Lib Dems) to participate in a one-week best practice training in the United Kingdom (UK), aimed at providing Africa with very good leaders who will take over the affairs of the continent and help move the economic ambitions of its people to a desirable level. I am the Upper East Regional focal person for the development of the People’s National Youth Policy. I still work as a community leader, leading young people to drive social change and solve its community’s greatest challenge in education, economic empowerment and livelihood sustainability, SDGs and agriculture. I am a Certified Consultant with “SAGE Accountants Network” and holds a Bachelor of Technology, Accounting with Computing from Kumasi Technical University, •Certificate in Think Tank Navigator from Atlas Network (USA) •Certificate in National Youth Policy Development from EU-CoE Youth Partnership •Certificate in Elections Observation from OSCE/ODIHR •Cartificate in Training Delivery on “Training on Trainers” (ToT) from Actionaid Global Platform Ghana. I am interested in making innovative use of knowledge, experience, and information in creating opportunities. My core skills are Project management, collaboration, Creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, solving complex multidisciplinary open-end problems, thinking critically and making judgements.
